Initially designed to suit the maternity den dimensions of Northern Quolls, monitoring has shown 52 native species have used these dens for refuge and breeding including small marsupials, birds and reptiles. Easily deployed on site, carried in by foot and able to be installed by hand, without the need for expensive and invasive heavy machinery and associated costs.

Measuring over 2 meters long, and weighing just over 30kg, these habitats are designed to be installed using local aggregate to build a mound over the den to conceal and mimic the surrounding landscape. Their straightforward installation results in a product that can be easily relocated for when a project needs change, or a landscape is redesigned, however the product itself is manufactured from materials durable enough to last decades.
